To play in groups, or not to play in groups. That is the question. Two options were given to me today. Actually they were
given to me on Thursday, I’m just sitting down now to choose one. (Sunday night) Those options are whether I like to
perform in groups or in a solo. I chose to perform in groups. It’s easier, it sounds better and it makes me look more
popular.
It’s easier when you have two or three or eight guitarists instead of one. That way instead of one person playing
a lot of parts, everyone can play small easy parts. It is also easier when you are performing in front of an audience. When
your by yourself, you can get nervous, and your voice may crack up if your singing unless it’s because of puberty or
u just can’t hit that high c. When your with others playing, your not as nervous because if you mess up, the others
are still going and it doesn’t sound as bad.
It sounds a lot better when many guitars play together. Webster’s dictionary defines the word guitar as "a flat-bodied
stringed instrument with a long fretted neck and usually six strings plucked with a pick or with the fingers" Different people
play the guitar in many weird and different ways, but when you put it all together it has a nice harmony to it. Hopefully.
One person playing solo is usually nothing special unless they are really good. Like that Greg McArthur character. Yes he’s
good.
When I play in groups it makes me look more popular. Some people might see me in that small crowd and think I have friends.
When I play solo It makes me look like a loner.
In conclusion I think that I would enjoy and cherish playing in groups a lot more than playing with myself. I mean By myself.
BY MY SELF! It would be a great experience and as I said before it would sound better, look better and make me look more popular.
This concludes my essay, eh. Got milk?
